Tonka Hemingway sets announcement
SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS FOOTBALL RECRUITING
Conway (S.C.) class of 2020 three-star defensive lineman Tonka Hemingway will announce his commitment at 3:30 p.m. on August 15 at Conway High School.
Hemingway will choose from a top five schools of South Carolina, North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest and Vanderbilt.
The 6-foot-2, 280-pounder has taken official visits to South Carolina and North Carolina.
"They showed me a lot about the school," Hemingway said of South Carolina. "They showed me how everything is family oriented. The kids interact with each other like they're brothers. Probably just being around the coaches, talking to the players [was my favorite part]."
Rivals.com ranks Hemingway as the No. 8 prospect in the state of South Carolina and the No. 46 strongside defensive end in the country.
